You may have wondered what happened to us. It has been almost a month since my last post. Well I have to admit that I had became so caught up in reading the blogs of others and seeing the fun others were having, I forgot to live my own life and spend all day on the computer. I saw my short break dwindling away and decided to do some traveling.
So our trip started off right after Jacob's blessing on September 30th. I flew home with my parents to Colorado the next day. I'll post more about that trip when I get the photos off my mom' camera.

While we were packing Jake's clothes we had fun trying on things that just didn't quite fit yet. We stayed in CO for 2 weeks. The came home to see Eli for a few days. I son was lonely again so Jacob and I drove 7 hrs to Nampa, ID, picked uo my sister Lauren and went to see family in Idaho Falls.

We stayed with my Aunt Roxanne. She is so nice. Thank you!

Then we went to see my Grandma Higham. Grandpa died 2 years ago soon after they moved into an assisted living facility. Now, something is missing when we visit. Grandpa was the spiritual giant in my life. He married Eli and I and gave me my patriarchal blessing.

Have you seen the RExburg Temple? SO Pretty! I grew up for 13 yrs in Rigby a few miles down the road and never expected there would be a temple there. Lauren and I got lost on our way to see Eli's sisters at BYUI and ended up at the temple.

Luckily we found them and had a fun visit. The couple (HAnnah and Eric) on the left were married Aug 18th this year. At her reception little did we know Jacob would be born 2 days after. Rachael is on the right. She is the best photographer I know. They are so much fun. I married into such a nice family.
We had a lot of fun the last month and after it all decided family and friends are where it's at. True happiness is found in our relationships with others.
On the 10 hour drive home I listened to The Pleasure of My Company by Steve Martin. It was very good except for one scene that had sudden unexpected profanity. It helped the drive go by so much faster.

So true: family and friends are where it's at. I'm glad you had a good time on all your trips--you are so adventurous with a new baby! I'm apprehensive about the fact that we'll have to move with a 6-month-old next year!
I was wondering where you were! Jacob is getting so big!
Does you family live in CO now?
I CAN NOT get over how cute he is!
And you look super beautiful too!
Sounds like you had a great road trip. You are very adventerous with a new baby. Your hair is getting long and beautiful and Eli is getting so big.
What a busy travelin' girl and baby. I bet your families loved seeing your new addition. Isn't Colorado so beautiful this time of year.
