Non-potent Potables

Summertime makes me thirsty. The intensely hot sun beating down makes my mouth long for a refreshing beverage. A few things I love lately are Wild Sweet Orange Tazo Tea, Tazo Passion Herbal Tea (both chilled of course), Fruit Punch Crystal Light, the orange colored Slurpee at 7-11. The problem is there are these commercials for things like a Bailey's Freeze or Smirnoff Ice Twisted that look so refreshing as well. If I was someone who consumed spirits I would definitely be trying these products. Meanwhile, here I am looking for something new (and low calorie) to try to satisfy this parched palate. Any suggestions?

Too funny Janel! We drink Vitamin Water now that I decided Crystal Lite isn't good for babes to drink with the fake sugar. It's yum and pretty low cal and all natural. Good luck satisfying the drink urges!

Wow those sound good. I always crave vanilla bean frappacino's from Starbucks with carmel drizzled on the top. They tell me there is no coffee in them, wow I hope they are not lying to me. LOL. Because I think I am addicted. J/k. When it's really hot though, there is nothing better than just cold water. Oh also, The Orange Peel has refreshing drinks if you have one of those places.

Hey you guys! I thought about you yesterday, Janel, when I was at the fountain at WSU-Vancouver. We met Brian and our cousin there so the kids could cool off. Anywho, since a question was involved, I feel obligated to answer: Tall glass of water from the fridge is my choice of thirst. No ice, as it gets in the way of a good chug. For taste: strawberries and cream drink from Starbucks (discovered this tasty treat when people gave gift cards to us), or a thick chocolate shake from Burgerville. Jack in the Box shakes are a close second. --oehlerfamily.blogspot.com
