Next I saw yeast, ruled out a UTI, diagnosed ankle strain, initiated treatment for high cholesterol, and finished off the week with ringworm. It was intimidating, overwhelming, but overall exciting. I keep telling Eli I hope my prescriptions don't bounce. I think the only thing that got me through it was prayer and blessings. I am scared I'll miss something. I am definitely out of practice. The poor transcriptionist-- my dictation is a mess. I will learn though.
I also had to renew my ACLS this week. (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). This is when people die and we try all we can to bring them back. It is a flourish of CPR, meds, and funky cardiac rhythms. It always makes me nervous. A situation you don't want to get to.
Best part of the week, sitting down for a family dinner on a Friday night and rocking Jake to sleep. Man -- it is good to be home.
Things I am looking forward to-- 007 Quantum of Solace--The new Bond is so fair to look upon.
Oh and I am seeing 20/20 with a little bit of glare-- Too bad I had bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages and look like this:

Hey, how are you? Thanks for the comment. Sounds like things have been crazy for you. We finally got to go to lake powell last weekend and it was so nice to get away as a family. I don't know how long it had been since we got away. Anyways hope things are going good for you and your family.
So exciting that you are the head honcho now. So grown up! It sure is crazy that we have to be so responsible all the time and make all the big decisions, but it is way exciting to know that we are both in the careers that we wanted! I am so happy for you and your family. Sorry about your eye. Is that going to go away on its own, or does it require another surgery? It must be nice not having to worry about contacts or glasses though. I hope all is well. Let me know what your plans are around the holidays. Ian is busy at the bike shop up through Christmas, but after that maybe we can come visit for New Years??? I don't have to be back to school until January 5th. Take care. Best Wishes! Love ya
holy cow girl...that eye look painful....
and writing your own rxs!!! pretty sweet stuff!
So impressed with your brave step in the new job! I can't imagine that kind of pressure!
And my eyes looked like that too last week.. except mine was from throwing up. Hope the glare goes away and all goes well!
You are my hero! I love hearing about your job, you are so smart and amazing. I'm sure the next weeks will be lots easier and you will be more comfortable.
Sorry about the eyes!
Quite the range of issues you dealt with at work! I always hated starting new jobs. It seemed to take me a good six months or so before I felt like I was in the swing of things. Hopefully things come more easily for you.
Your poor eye! Does it hurt? My mom had something like that happen last year, the day before my little sis's wedding. Good thing it didn't really show up in any of the wedding pics :)
