Eli received a good job offer today from Worldwide Express, a company contracted with UPS that sells their shipping services to small business. This is exciting and just what Eli want to do-- business to business sales. There is a base salary (which is basically what he was making before) and commission on top of that. Only problem is the benefits only cover the employee so we have to buy insurance for the rest of the family. But overall, could be a good opportunity. He starts on Monday.
Eli was unemployed for 16 days. And man was it crappy. I hope none of you have to experience it, but if you have/are my heart goes out to you. Hang in there.
So we celebrated by making Jaesi's Beef Stroganoff and these cookies. It was a good day.

Awesome! I am SO happy for you guys, I can't even tell you. We are now about 5 weeks into total unemployment (as in, not a dime of income) and facing at least another month or two before Jake can get enough use of his arm to get back to work. Not fun at all. Something I hope to NEVER have to experience again. Although, I guarantee we will be better prepared just in case there ever is a next time.
YAY! CONGRATS! I am happy for you. Are you guys still planning your trip this way, or has that been changed? Let me know. We are probably going to San Diego on the 27th thru the 30th and then I thought Boston and I will come up to see you on the 1st or 2nd, I have to work the 3rd and 4th.
great. wonderful. great.
Oh man....I want some stroganoff right this very second.
Awesome =] Congratulations! Unemployment isn't fun. Glad that Eli found a job that paid as much as his last one, but that's crappy that you have to buy seperate insurance.
YAY! Congrats, Eli! I'll bet you guys are feeling so much better. I'm glad things are looking up.
