This is our kitty when we first brought her home in July 2005. She was originally named Ally, but we just call her "kitty". It is a little embarrassing when we take her to the vet and they ask her name. It' s like we are neglectful, unloving parents. The whole cat thing was a huge turning point in our marriage since Eli was raised to hate cats. We have had her 2 years now and Eli still threatens to get rid of her every time she climbs on the counter or makes a mess. I just remind him she is preparing him for fatherhood.

That is funny! We had a cat when we first got married, left over from my single days. AJ hated her and with good reason, she wasn't a nice cat, she peed all over any baby thing we brought home. We had to get rid of her before Liv came, we thought she'd pee on her or claw her eyes out or something!

Neglectfuul and unloving parents certinally don't take there cats to the vet! Great way to prepare yourselves for being parent.. get a cat. Why didn't we think of that? ;)
