We had such a fun holiday in Steamboat. It is hard to come back and get back to work.
One cool thing about Hayden, CO is Santa comes to every home that leaves their porch light on on Christmas Eve.
Jacob loves to stand up now (with a lot of help).
I worked on Monday and Tuesday night this week. I have to be gone from about 6pm-0730am. Although a new Electronic Medical Record (EMR) aka computer charting was instituted while i was on maternity leave, work went extremely well. Eli arranged his classes so he can be home with Jacob, except on Wednesday nights when he has his night class. Eli has fun getting to have man to man time with Jake. The nice thing is I only work part time and at the hospital we rotate working every other weekend, so I don't have to work again until Jan 18th. I will miss getting to be home with Jacob every minute, but I feel blessed for a job that is able to provide for our little family

Sounds like you guys have a good thing going- and really, I think you'll enjoy having that time away. I'm a little jealous, actually. :-) You look too good for having such a little baby, and I wish I would have had this picture when I got my bangs cut last week. Yours look awesome!

I agree with you that it will be a blessing that you can provide for your family, and only working part-time, too. I worked part-time for a year starting when Liv was 6 mos or so-- and before that I was finishing my school and doing an externship. I did feel, like you, some sadness for not being home all the time, but it turned out really good for ME and our family--not to mention AJ got a dose of what taking care of a baby entails!

We've been up on EMR at the hospital I work at for just about a year now & I LOVE IT. It will make your job SO much easier in the charting aspect!
I work part time right now too & sometimes it's hard to leave, but other times it nice to have "me time" even if it is at work.
You really are the prettiest, Janel! Yes, you are very fortunate to have such a fantastic job. I'm wondering though, after a night shift, when do you get to sleep?!?

Its nice you can go back to work and not worry about who your babe is with. Im sure its good for you to get out of the house too.
