Jacob's first bath. He liked it. His little bum wouldn't stay in the right spot. He is quite the wiggler.

The poor kid has a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear. He is so small. I need to buy premie clohtes (anyone know who sells them, couldn't find any at Target) His weight was 4lbs 13 oz on Monday and we are going to get it checked again on Friday. I had a Dr. appt today (unfortunately my blood pressure is still high) and my Dr. was asking how his feedings were going. He felt I shouldn't be using the syringe and feeding tube behind the nipple shield-- just the shield and let the child suckle. So I went home and tried it. Jacob cried and cried at first, but once he calmed he ate like a champ. It is just hard because my breasts aren't clear with demarcations of how many milliliters he has taken. It is much easier to manage his feedings though and I hope a step in the right direction.

I never got to post these. I didn't get to be pregnant long enough. My sister in law is quite the photographer.

Eli and I measured our waists on 7/9/07. Elis was 37.25 inches and I was 8 months pregnant and 38 inches. I just didn't get big. Now I see why. Sorry Jacob. It makes me sad he has to work so hard and has no fat reserves at all. I cannot complain because he is healthy and such a sweet boy.

He is so tiny and so cute! He looks like a doll!
I love those pictures, they're adorable!
Andrina wore premie clothes for the first 2 weeks. Recently I went to Carter's and had some. They came in like a 5 pack of differnt sleepers. Also, of all places... I know Walmart has some too if you can't find anything else.
Keep up with the breast feeding, it will get better!
Enjoy every moment because he'll grow up so fast!!
OH Janel, he's Adorable!! such a cute little Guy! and i can't beleive how Tiny you were when you had him!! Love the pics of you and your hubby...so very cute!!
He really is just itty bitty!! So sweet though!!
It really is so hard to know if they are getting enough to eat when you're just nursing. Do you nurse for a certain amount of time? I would nurse Lincoln for 20 minutes on each side, every 2.5 to 3 hours.
Those prego pics are adorable!!
He's so teeny, wow! What a cutie though, and it's good to hear he's been eating like a champ! Don't worry about the millimeters, just as long as your breast (at least one) feels drained afterward he should be getting enough to drink. Elsa never could hang out and do both at once, I let her drain one and then an hour later drain the other one--she still eats like that, little meals very often! It's more important that they get the hind milk with all the fat, anyway, so I sacrificed my boob symmetry!
I think I saw some premie at The Children's Place. You could just look around online before going in anywhere (I'm sure you know that!)
Can you email me your address, I'd like to send you a baby gift.
Oh what a tiny little one!! I am so glad to hear that he is starting to nurse for you!! Don't worry about how much he is getting as long as he is having wet diapers and seems satisfied you should be fine. I went through thing when Sydney finally decided to nurse I wanted to know just how much she was getting!! BYW all the pics were so darn cute!!! Congrats!! -Caralee
I found premie clothes at walmart. They were the same price as used ones from a consignment store.
I was looking at our Target and I didn't see any :( Newborn was 5-8 pounds, I took one out and I thought it would probably be really baggy. Glad you found some :)
Okay Janel, you're killing me! We need to see more pictures of this cute little one!
Janel, Kate was tiny when she was born too (not as tiny as your little guy), but I found quite a bit of cute preemie stuff at Walmart of all places... and the best part is that they are cheap!
You're right- Walmart has the best selection of premie clothes I've seen. They have really cute onesies and pants for $3.50!
